Today we have iterated on our floorplans. Doro and Emil made their own version that they based of my floorplan for the mansion. So we sat down together and pieced them all together and decided on a final pathing for the player to take. We decided on the door placements and we might have changed the location of the first HUB room. To make it more of a centerpoint instead of something you leave at the beginning of the game and will probably never visit again.
At the end of this week we are going to have our alpha presentation to show off the current state of our game. The things that we need until then is some placeholder sounds, animations, and an alpha area to move around in. We are thinking we should have the tutorial area plus the greenery section for the alpha but we will see.
During the day we had a sprint meeting with the teachers and they gave us some feedback. And to further make the player visit the hub area where the big pentagram is on the pictures. We increased the size of it even more to occupy the hallways around it as well so that the player must go through it and see their progress. It looks a bit weird but you will have an instant connection to the last big door which is a nice thing. We also determined which rooms are suppose to be battle rooms and what rooms are supposed to be puzzle focused. So tomorrow we will create some puzzle rooms.
