Project 2. Day 32. Home Stretch.

Start of week 8 and things are really getting stressful. We still have no animations in the game as of 2 pm on monday. In the very next to last week. I cannot begin to express my sadness around this. Our artists really have been saying that things are going to get added and shit never happens.. Like we needed early animations in week 4-5 but we still have nothing. I don't reallly know , well I know that our animator have been alone and have been burned out and stuff.. but .. it is still so sad that ONE guy can screw so many people over by not sharing / explaining / whatever.. Anyhow ..during the morning we discussed a lot around the new sounds that we got. They seem to be in a good place regarding time and I don't think that those are gonna be a problem.


Regarding the art side of it all I just really don't know anymore, the majority of the project is on them, they are so many people and we barely see progress so I'm really worried for that part of the project, hopefully we'll see something this week or we are going to be unable to provide a game for the deadline.


Game design vise we have some more things to test and finaliz. We got a list from our lead things that we are suppose to test and come up with numbers on. But I started testing and got nauseated from playing on controller. Which is a problem of course. I don't want this to affect me too much.

But now that is the case and I'll have to make the most of it.


We also had our sprint review today and we got roasted by some dude from avalanche apparently. We had a talk with our design teachers about it and how he just was objectively giving us "feedback" based on what he can see. And it was once again a reminder on how we are set back by the artist.. and we know and it's heartbreaking.. So for the rest of the day we'll try to work with the things we can , talk to the artists. . . again.
