Pre lunch:
In about one and a half our we are going to present our proof of concept for everyone. It was stated last Thursday that we would NOT present for everyone but instead just do it within our group with the teachers. But this morning we were told that we are going to present in front of everyone instead. Which doesn't really make a difference. However the reason we would not have it in front of everyone was because it would take so much time, time that could be spent on working on the project instead. Since this Wednesday we are going to Uppsala to visit a game studio with the entire class so a full day of work is "wasted".
When looking at our "gold goal" , the end result that we desire. I'm doubtful that we can make everything we want. But hopefully when everything is to the core "done" with all the artsy stuff. Things will start rolling in very fast. Hopefully. When going over the presentation and looking at what we have VS what we want in the end I'm like " Oh lord, can we make this?"
But I do believe that we are capable. Maybe we'll get some insight after the presentations when we get completely roasted by out teachers.
AFTER LUNCH:
Now we've had our presentations and seen everyone's projects. Our presentation could have been a lot more polished than it was. But hey, it worked and I think most of the people knew what we were going for. Trying to present something from a presentation you have barely even glanced at is hard and I was not really prepared to talk but it's no problem.
We got some feedback: We should think about having some sort of indicator of where we drop the llamas when have chosen them from the menu so it doesn't confuse the player on where it's gonna land when you drop it down. And we should utilize the assets to somehow visualize that the tourists are taking over or that things are getting worse by letting more and more tourists through into the Mocha Picchu (name of the end goal for the tourists). Like make them litter the place, or having seated enemies next to the coffee shop.
This week we are going to do more testing in the Prototype. I have a copy now so we both can make changes and really get it going!
Here's a picture of my cat that I took this morning.
