P1; D8: Proof of Concept

PRE-LUNCH

Proof of concept day is coming closer and closer and it feels like we are standing still. The work is coming along, but slowly. But that is maybe how things work, I'm not an artist or a programmer. And honestly I feel like the things we do as designers really don't matter all that much at the moment. The programmers and designers could probably do our work as well. Maybe not as good and time efficient but that what it feels right now in this moment when there is "nothing" to do.


The prototype is almost finished and we can do some first draft balancing and we are quite happy with the first wave that we have. We only have the first and second tower in the prototype the first one being just a normal spitting tower that deals damage and the second one being a tower that slows the enemy hit for 2 seconds but deals half the damage of the first tower.


Today we'll do some tweaking of numbers and think about the currency, I looked like during yesterdays test we had too much money. Although we only had 1 cost towers to put on the map.

So we upped the health of the enemies in wave 2 and then it was too hard instead of too easy.


So we'll have to get a balance somehow.


After lunch:

Our proof of concept has been pushed to Monday afternoon instead of this Friday. This means we have the entire Friday as well to fix things and that feels really good. To have some kind of closure of that week and really see what we have accomplished. Then we start of next week with the Proof of Concept. Well it starts in the afternoon but still.


We added some more stuff to the unity prototype. And by we I mean Jonathan.

Now we have some added cost towers , the sniper tower costs 3 so now we can test some more with the costs and see how far we get.


With some testing it seems like it's way to easy , depending on what towers you get in the random pool wave 2 and 3. And the money gained after each rounds seems to be increased a bit to much at the moment. I will test some more when I get a hold of the unity project on my pc later.
