Apparently the way we worked and have planned all along was fine. However no matter how we explained it. TWO designers could not explain it good enough for our teachers. But then, our llama artists came to the rescue and said basically the same things we had said and tried to convey for 10 minutes and they asked her if she meant that we work in a "pipeline" workflow, and she said yes, and POFF and all the pieces fell into place. Even though we were very careful to step by step go through the process it still made no sense. Like we were talking Chinese or something. At least we have them understanding now I hope.
Today our programmer Chris is working to get a grid system working on our map. This means that the map that we had need to be re-worked for it to be optimally in place for all the "tiles" in the grid system. "Good" for us that our map was already gonna be reworked, our paths we had that our enemies walk on was too narrow for them to fit properly. So it's being reworked today and hopefully we'll have a grid system and a new map for tomorrow.
I'm a bit worried that out llamas still cannot shoot. Maybe it's an easy fix but I really want it to work ASAP. I've told the programmer that it's a priority.
Small update, we now have a working mouse in 3D space in game in the works. The programming teacher helped Chris with something called Ray tracing to calculate where the mouse actually wants to be.
We started to work on out proof of concept presentation today as well. It's hard to know exactly how much they want us to show. It's the first time we do one so we'll definitely forget something important , or just forget to mention it on Friday.
